I have a Dobsonian with a length of 1200 mm length and an eyepiece of 25 mm of it. I want to buy other eye 7.5 mm, but many people have suggested buying a Barlow lens. so you can use with the Eye II will now be 96x MAG, IM and looking around 160x. But someone told me that if I get a 7.5 mm ocular finish strong and uncomfortable pushing my eye to the eyepiece to see the light of the plan. if you purchased a 15 mm eyepiece and a 2x Barlow lens, would eliminate this problem?
That is a combination of bad faith a 15mm eyepiece and a Barlow lens. Avoid Barlows less expensive because they can soften the image and cause other distortions. But there is Good starting point around $ 50 which is a good investment for life. Barlows come to factors other than 2x lens. Some come in 2.5 xy 3x and some are made that are 5x. The important thing is to complement the eye Barlow collection (as may be) without having to duplicate one of the extensions that you can have without Barlow. The Celestron Ultima and Antares Barlows are good, among others.

Properly designed Barlows do wonderful things. First, they amplify power while retaining the eyepiece's eye-relief. Second, they slow the telescope's f/#, which improves eyepiece sharpness. Third, the designer can introduce compensations for eyepiece aberrations.Tele Vue's 2" 2x BIG Barlow, 1 1/4" 2x and 3x Barlows were envisioned as magnification windows. How to avoid camera shake and achieve Great Digital Pictures
It's so disappointing when you look at what some people believe that great pictures for determine which are coded them! Needless to say, this brief moment in time, you thought you had captured, disappeared forever.
I think all we can say we have been there at one time. This article offers some tips to solve this problem.
Pictures may be blurred for a number of reasons.
The first and most obvious is the camera movement and can identify if your goal is completely blurred.
The way to stop camera shake is to keep the camera still!
The first and obvious way is to use a tripod, but how many people are a tripod around with them all the time. However, using a tripod, especially in low light is the best way to get sharp images.
If you not have a tripod always try to use something to stabilize the camera - a bean bag, slipped into a pole, fence or wall or anything that can stabilize the unit.
Another way to eliminate camera shake is to hold the camera properly! Holding the camera with one hand and with arms fully extended, is a sure way to get blurred images.
When you can not support the proposal of the camera and then use your own body. Lie or sit and camera key against his knee.
Tuck your elbows together and against his chest. When ready to fire, a deep breath, exhale half way, containing breath and take the picture.
Gently press! Stabbing fall photo camera shake.
In a little more technical, and if the camera can do, consider using a shorter lens, or a larger opening, which will Speed shutter speed, or using high ISO settings.
A General rule-of-thumb is that when a tripod is unavailable, not use a shutter speed less than the lens focal length, as no less than 1 / 300 if using a 300mm.lens, 1 / 50 if you use a 50mm.lens - and so on.
Note: If you buy a new camera in search of "stabilization Image "or" VR "(Vibration Reduction) is a way to reduce blur from camera or camera movement.
As in all aspects digital camera, the experience until you are sure of their results, just delete the test files. The only cost is your time.

What is the minimum thickness of a thin layer (n = 1.42) on the glass (n = 1.52) for which destructive interference of the reflection of incident light red (650 nm) may occur in the air?
I think you're referring to the simplest form of anti-reflective (AR) for the optical surfaces, which consists of a single layer of low refractive index - ideally equal to the square root glass of the same - whose thickness is a length of quarter wavelength for the color of light of interest. Since this distance is measured in the material itself should be considered the effect of refractive index. The actual film thickness of 650 nm red light is λ / (4.N) is about 110 nm. In General, as a layer may obtain a reduction by a factor of 2 to 4 reflection at normal incidence, about 4% for most optical glasses. Much better performance can be achieved with multilayer films and other techniques.

Astronomical Binoculars optical instruments used in observing the stars or the observation day and night sky. It allows people to see objects far beyond those seen with the naked eye. Choose the best binoculars for astronomical involves certain considerations. A Good pair of binoculars, astronomy is more effective as a telescope.
Binoculars are small telescopes mechanically linked to each other or side mounted hand, allowing remote viewing. It is practical, durable, lightweight and easy to use. Astronomical Binoculars can help 40% see a more detailed in connection with the use of one eye with a telescope. For high quality binoculars for astronomy must follow considerations for achieving success:
Increase Select the magnification level also reflects the way in which their use is planned. When using the handheld, setup time is zero. It has no support for the escape of the portfolio. This means that we have below 12x increase to maintain consistency of their binoculars. However, a combination of target size can see hundreds of stars and galaxies, using a binocular 7x to 12x.
So, You can also determine the output of the binoculars of the students (an opening in a virtual optical system) that can match her eyes. Divide the size of the target through its magnifying power.
A human eye has a 2 mm exit pupils during the day, actually a Type of high magnification. The exit pupil should be more than 5 mm in low light to make it more usable. Since all the glasses have limits, we must consider the amount of distance to achieve when focusing or relief which are called the eyes. Binoculars have a 9mm eye relief can produce visual discomfort.
A tripod can also help you to cope more effectively increase 15-20x. Astronomical Binoculars have 15x to 30x and can lead to stargazing and more detailed. It is then a 25x100mm can be very effective for night viewing light and dark.
Most giant binoculars are limited, especially for a fixed increase. That is, although there are more types of models now offer interchangeable eyepieces.
Sizes Lens size - Apertura (opening or hole through which light is admitted) is called the target size. Collection is a light source that plays a key role in the applications of appropriate binocular. More opportunities mean better and brighter images resolved. The size and volume may also increase proportionately. The twins are very mobile, having a size less than 30mm. 5x25 or 5x30 models may also fit into the pockets easily. Lower increases are necessary for this size range to maintain a bright image.
40mm Binoculars are considered mid-range average. Is used by most people for many applications. The size of the 50-60mm lens is much heavier, which requires support. However, it is highly suitable for astronomy.
Mounts Big need for large binoculars Mountains. The weight of the binoculars can be compared to its maximum load on a tripod. A tripod that is capable of at least 12 pounds and 15 pounds or more is preferable for a 80mm binocular.
Prism Type Z-shaped joint are most suitable for binoculars astronomy. Porro prisms are No reflective surfaces and are less expensive. You can sharpen the picture, even inherent that is designed for larger hands.
The prism allows the body for a much shorter. Because tilting the light path. You can also return the images, and reflects the trajectory of the light 3 times.
Focus Type Astronomy binoculars use both CF (development center) and IF (individual eyepiece focus). Central focus is versatile and easy to use, especially in the focus of other applications. If the focusing system is a normal practice, it is easier to seal moisture and dust.
Quality and Price Most giant binoculars are manufactured in China. Some see China is a high level of optics. Popular brands include: • Celestron • Oberweck • Meade • The Rise and Small binoculars are the highest quality are sold under $ 25. Medium rates vary between $ 50 - $ 75. While the 80 mm double sell for $ 100 and $ 300. Models with 100 mm in fact a period of $ 400 to $ 1000, especially excellent eye for interchangeable.

Can you have twins, too? And the answer is clearly no.
My wife , I wondered, and looks at me in disbelief. Just where this question was coming? What could be thinking? After writing my own and acquire a minimum of decorum, I began to explain logically the need for many different binoculars.
I have already explained, to be fair, nobody has a favorite pair of binoculars. Audubon Equinox HP I keep most of the time I did not hesitate to recommend anyone. They are Good in low light and daylight. They have a good field of vision performance and image quality in which one can easily distinguish colors. I've been in situations where there is water and have no fear because of the fog sealing and testing this model.
However, I must say, I sat two covenants Audubon den near the windows. I have a backyard that is a Great place for birds. Be there have been more than 50 species of birds that visited my backyard and the ravine behind it. Everybody in the house and many guests had the opportunity to use these files. Sometimes, these binoculars are backed by the distraction, and before the user has done, look out and make a startling discovery. The next thing you know, we have (pardon the pun) a whole new birder. Its use has provided many with views of peaks, Great crested flycatchers, Orchard Oriole, Common Yellowthroat, Hawk Brown and more.
I have a pair of binoculars in my car, too. You never know when you will be away from home en route to a destination where suddenly it is an observation of life. For example, we were on our way to the Texas Hill Country, travel Highway 29 in Llano, when we realized that many cars have stopped. What was all that noise? There was a pair of nesting bald eagles, and I was so happy to have my binoculars. This nest has been active for several years. However, this first day was one of the books, did much better that I keep binoculars in the car.
Then there is the pair of binoculars to keep times when a friend visits. My clients and I often spend a portion of our time combing the forests and parks in the area. It's always good to have some convenient facilities to enhance the experience. The decision a walk along some roads is made easier because we all have a pair of binoculars to help us appreciate the wildlife that we are in May.
Too many, not the twins a chance!

How can I clean my Lenses in the scope of firearms?
I'm worried I'll scratch the lens. Someone can tell me what to wear, hopefully something that is a familiar theme. Thanks in advance for any information.
My dealer offered this advice ... Dust ... go to section beauty of the store and buy a cheap soft brush. They are approximately 1 / 3 inches wide with a 3-inch diameter handle. Not used, you can clean the dust in the lens. For stains on the lens should eye glass cleaners. Towelettes moistened cloth or a special cleaner.

Which are some high-quality binoculars that could be used for deep-sky astronomy?
I want to know what the rational use of binoculars to see deep sky objects. I want high-quality color, rich images. I need to name names and be specific to that brand binocular depth I use sky astronomy. I also want more specific brand of binocular deep-sky astronomy buying - What to look for specifications also, because I'm reading about astronomy binocular specifications and are really confusing to me because I'm new in the deep-sky astronomy binoculars - But nothing new to astronomy. I'd rather have the deep sky astronomy binoculars are on a tripod - but also pretty fair prices, but not too low because you get what you pay ... Only serious answers please!
Zeiss, Leica and Swarovski all come immediately to mind bino manufacturers of premium, but you can expect to pay for them. I like Canon's IS series, but are specially held for use (with image stabilization technology) instead of editing. The parallelogram mounts are much better than the simple tripod mount, especially looking near the zenith, but again are more expensive. As for Bino specifications, which are very simple when you know what they mean. The specification Binos cuff tends to be in double digits in the form AxB where A is the expansion and B is the size of the objective lens - control the way they have a lot of inner light and how Sun is therefore an object can be seen. If you are using a Binos freehand then generally I would advise against something 10x more powerful (and preferably a little less) because the image becomes uneven unusably and Paradoxically, you can see at least a couple of less power. In terms of target size of 50 mm is usually the limit you can hold your hand during the long periods of time, especially if the quality is Good. There are some cheap, lightweight plastic Binos Over there, but Wanted to avoid at all costs. For more than 50 mm aperture at 10x or more power than you really need a bino mount, but beware - a good horse is like Bino in price for a Basic telescope and has almost the same time to implement. Ignore these hooks that fit on top of a camera tripod - they are useless unless the object you want to see is just above the skyline. The closest to a "standard" size 7x50 astronomy is making a very efficient use of available light. However, students are people in its third decade of May and not sufficiently developed to use all the light, if a slightly more aggressive power aperture ratio is often recommended for the elderly - A couple more Power 10x50 or smaller (and cheaper) pair of 7 or 8x42. Since you are lookign at Binos specifically for use with a moutn can go higher (and heavier), and more energy than normal for Binos hand. There are a couple of things to see, but you should not actually end bonuses questions: Fully coated: it reduces internal reflections within the Binos giving dimmer images. Fully Multi-Coated is even better. Binos simply described as "lying" are probably best avoided, because it generally means that the exterior surfaces are treated. Bush tripod mount, though I Bino increases as Binos no reason for not complying with them. Porro prism (where the objective lens is wider than the eyes), providing the best views of the astronomy line roof prism binoculars, at least if we talk about very high level binoculars. Lens Caps and a difficult case: all that protects your Binos when not in use is a good idea. BaK-4 optical glass (for least at the lower end of market) is more effective than BK-7 glass used in some models. Avoid all low-cost models that do not say what the use of glass, because it can not be even. However, back in the market (in the territory of hundreds of dollars) may not speak again, as they begin to take possession of the glasses. Finally, binoculars at low cost (less the $ 250 full price) suggest strongly recommend Porro prisms, rather than roof prisms. Roof prism prices tend to suffer low diffraction peaks, making it less useful for astronomy. The two prisms are easy to distinguish because Porro prism Lenses objectives are more separated from the eye. For roof prism are in line with the other.

June or aunt asks if he can borrow for woodpecker, thought his crib. In other words, you can not recover. My solution is to go to Wal-Mart or Kmart in early January, when they have after Christmas sales for the removal. You can usually find a "cheap" Bushnell or Simmons for about $ 20 new. There are two schools of thought ... and he's like 6 of one and half dozen of another. You Binoculars can buy compact objective lens of 20 mm (7x20mm) that you can comfortably carry on a belt. Or you can go as large a 35mm or 50mm lens aim. The main advantage is to attract more light ... so even at 6:45 or 4:45 pm, in December, is an advantage. On the other hand, you have to drag you wherever you go. And personally, 3 pounds of extra weight that makes the difference for those of us who like to walk around in the woods. The only thing I do not know .... 7 power budget increase mainly for hunting deer with a range of 200 yards. You just want to be able to distinguish between a deer and a rock and a relative of sex a fawn male, 7x do it for you.

Im about to buy a Simmons 8x30 waterproof binoculars 2MP camera. Comments?
I was thinking of buying this cool to capture photos of surf and waterfalls. I already have a digital camera very nice, but not waterproof. Be the first # = Maginifique and the second # = Brightness measured by the output lens in mm, but what does that mean? Does the image zoom and clear? Can he take static shots of a moving object without being fuzzy? What is the Simmons quality and / or photos? Any help is greatly appreciated!
I totally agree with the sponsor 1. You'll be very disappointed with these once you buy. Save your money. It is regrettable that there are more cameras waterproof quality available, but one thing to keep in mind is that if the water rises in the Camera Lens waterproof or not, your images will not be used. I have a suggestion for you to consider. Who should consider the Canon Powershot S2. With the 12x zoom Image Stabilized Lens can be very far from the surf and waterfalls that there will be no problem of getting the camera wet. Kodak camera is very similar. Increased Speed shutter is 1 / 3200 to stop its action of cold. Read about it here. Http: / / reviews.digitaltrends.com/review2919.html
