Hello, I'm trying to figure out if this product is a UV light bulb or not. Because it does not say anywhere on the box that it is a UV bulb.
The product is a 25 watt "T bulb" Neodymium Reptile Daylight Heat Lamp.
I'm trying to find a UV light for my Red Eared Sliders.

At the beginning of the 1980’s in the United States Professor Rosenthal discovered the benefits of light therapy Lamps. At first they were used in cases of seasonal depression also called SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Light therapy is today practised in a number of hospitals a number of pathologies, but mostly with trouble linked to the upset of the biological clock (circadian rhythm problems) like insomnia and generally trouble sleeping.
Light therapy reveals its effectiveness in numerous cases, and helps to quickly find energy when a lower morale lets us feel the changes in the seasons.
Light therapy lamps and seasonal depression or SAD. The principal symptoms of winter season depression start to show at the end of summer when the days start to grow short and become dull as there is less light it is the seasonal change that affects a number of people.
In a number of cases it is Winter Blues which we all suffer from in one way or another, it is a simpler version of winter depression, and this in no way stops us from continuing with our daily lives.
In the cases of SAD people will suffer from a depressive state, tiredness and will have a tendancy to isolate themselves socially. Also noticing a significant rise in their appetite with a tendancy to gain weight or even bulemia due to sweet foods, gloomy humour a tendancy of insomnia and an excessive need of sleep, loss of concentration and motivation with a loss of interest and a loss of out put. The people suffering from seasonal depression do not automatically show symptoms, this is why it is important to contact a doctor for a check up. The signs of this depression disappear with the arrival of beautiful days and sunlight.
Light therapy lamps : How does it work?
Light therapy consists of facing a light therapy lamp which transmits light to the eyes. The intensity of the light should be between 2500 and 10 000 lux (light units). It is the retina via the neurotransmittors that inhibit the melatonin, a sleep hormone which is at the root of the problems linked to a loss of light. This homone is normally secreted at night for us to sleep. The fact that this sleeping drug is naturally blocked during the day helps us to find out natural energy.
How to use the light therapy lamps
First you have to remember that light therapy lamps used as treatment in hospitals and at home respond in the same way as any normal medecine. This is why you should verify that the lamps have an agreed EU license.
The origin of light therapy lamps are reserved for medical use (by a GP or at the hospital). Today light therapy lamps may be used at home, at the office in response to normal usage.
The power will be the first factor in the choice of a lamp, of course the more powerful the lamp the more the use will be a greater comfort.
Each session should be done in the morning. The user must place the lamp at eye height or just underneath the eyes. It is not necessary to look at the lamp but it is important that the retina swims in the light coming from the light therapy.
The length of the session must be between 30 minutes and 2 hours (30 minutes at 10 000 lux or 2500 lux for 2 hours).
The effects on the morale can be felt quite quickly, from the first couple of days, but may take 10 days for others.
There are very little indications against light therapy but it is important to consult a doctor when the person suffers with their eyes or is taking photosensitive medication.

Vehicles are equipped with headlights, taillights and windshield wipers to assist an automobile's driver in observing the roadway in front. Car headlights project a light beam forward of a vehicle to illuminate the roadway for a driver. Mercedes Benz Headlights, for example, are activated in dusk or night hours to illuminate the road directly ahead of a car. A typical Mercedes Benz Headlight is composed of a reflector and a lamp projecting through an opening into the interior of the reflector. The lamp's base is located in a holder of the reflector, so that the discharge vessel is arranged in an exactly defined location. The reflector surface is then illuminated by the emitted light. As a result, a headlight beam is formed and, depending on the shape of the reflector surface, radiated in a forward direction.
Despite its obvious importance, headlights were never included on the first cars produced. In fact, they never existed until they were compellingly created for obvious reasons. By 1885, "headlamps" were installed on cars and was initially powered by acetylene gas. Use of electric-powered headlights did not start until 30 years later. The most common types of headlights now since the 1980's are the halogen headlamps and recently, the so-called high intensity discharge (HID) Lamps. As noted, car headlights typically employ filament-based light sources such as halogen lamps or HID lamps that produce electric arc illumination by electrical discharge between electrodes in a high-pressure gas ambient. Halogen lamps had been widely used in an older conventional Mercedes Benz Headlight. The halogen lamp is provided with two filaments, that is, a filament for irradiating a high-beam and a filament for irradiating a low-beam, so a high-beam mode or a low-beam mode may be selectively operated as desired.
Most luxury cars today however, namely the Mercedes Benz, BMW, and Porsche, equip their vehicles with HID lamps. The modern Mercedes Benz Headlight, made out of HID lamps, covers the mercury vapor, metal halide, high-pressure sodium and xenon short-arc Type lamps. Most distinguishable about HID Mercedes Headlights are their color, which are blue-white as opposed to the halogen lamps. HID headlight systems generally utilize 35-watt lamps. This means that 35 watts of electric current must be delivered constantly. A dose of this electric current requires a ballast that helps in regulating the voltage and current going to the headlamps. Since HID headlamps emit light equivalent to what would be seen at several thousand Kelvin, a considerable amount of time is needed to build up enough pressure to reach its brightest intensity. The warm-up time usually lasts for several minutes with an ignition voltage of around 20 kilovolts. This is very impractical if used as a headlamp. This problem was solved by having constant power being delivered to the HID lamps, which would result in about only two seconds warm-up time to reach Over a third of its full intensity. After the warm-up, only a small amount voltage is needed to keep them running.
There is no question that, as time went by, car makers have tuned their car parts to provide better visibility on the road. From the early acetylene lamps to todays HID's, seeing the roadways has become literally clearer and clearer.

I have 2 young guinea pigs, and i'm going camping soon. I'm staying in a tent. Do you think they can handle it, it's only for 2 nights, and we're leaving the morning after the 2nd night. It doesn't get hot, but the nights can get kinda chilly.
I was thinking about buying them a sleeper cube thingy and stuffing it with hay. Do you think they would stay warm enough? Are there any other ways to keep them warm??
I love them to death and would die if something bad happened to them.
Should I also bring flea repellent? I'm not going to risk taking them out of the cage though, unless i let them wander the tent.

can Rechargeable lithium batteries replace Ni Cad in solar light applications?
That isn't to easy
Don't get me wrong Lithium batteries pack a punch and yes they are definitely worth it. But also handled wrong they can be quite explosive. You require a more intelligent charger for lithium.
Ni Cad is a rather forgiving but nasty Type of battery. Replacing it with something like NiMh might be suggestable Over Lithium for safety reasons. Nowadays there are even Low Discharge NiMh batteries that deals with one of the biggest issues with NiMh they lose power fast.
The newer Low Discharge ones are able to keep their energy and keep their voltage higher for longer. Meaning longer functioning before the `cut of` point. So low discharge NiMh's are in my eye a decent solution.
And yes they are busy with improving lithium batteries. Mending it with polymers and the likes to make it safer. But that technology isn't out yet on the market in full force.

Basically, I recently got my first job and was put into this situation because I'm expected to use the light meter for every shot and I don't usually use anything other than the camera's. I'm not expecting you to go into details about the camera, aperture, shutter Speed or iso. I just want to know how to use the hand held meter.

I have a Sekonic L-358, it is a Great meter. I find it more accurate than the meter in my camera.

I have a bunch of stage lights, 6 to be exact, and I need to find containers for them. I originally was just using the Original cardboard boxes they came in, but they are ripped apart and are unusable. I just need a box that can fit them all individually, or together, it doesn't matter as long as they aren't damaged and the box is easy to carry.

Can staying in a tent with a gas grill cause a coma?
A friend and I went camping and became very ill after a couple of days. After discussing with some other friends a medical buddy said it may have been my propane grill that I had left on without lighting it so gas was coming out and not being burned. He then said that we were lucky because sleeping in a tent with a grill like that, we could have lapsed into coma. Is this possible or was he pulling one on us?

totally possible - you're not supposed to breath propane. Pretty sure it could have killed you, too.
Here is the "how":
Propane is a simple asphyxiant. High concentrations of propane can displace oxygen and cause asphyxiation. Oxygen content in the atmosphere must not be allowed to fall below 18%. Effects of oxygen deficiency are: 12-16% breathing and pulse rate increased, muscular co-ordination slightly disturbed; 10-14% emotional upset, abnormal fatigue, disturbed respiration; 6-10%: nausea and vomiting, collapse or loss of consciousness; below 6%: convulsive movements, possible respiratory collapse and death.
