I wld like 2 get a digital recorder 4 recording lecture but i'm kind of an IT Idiot.
1st-ly, do i need to find one wif mic so as 2 record from distance? 2nd-ly, the current 1 i'm usin is damn bloody soft even i max the vol in com, how do i avoid such player?
I required a player 2 record long hr, preferrably one which uses Rechargeable battery. I would definitely love it more if it allows transfering of files like flash drive instead of using cable.
Currently, i'm interested in the following but not sure if they r suitable.
6) Sony ICD-CS50 Digital Voice Recorder / Digital Camera
I'm actually 1 who goes for the appearance.. thus ya i would like to get advices & I welcome other suggestion of players as well.
Rosso Reyna
I got mine online. It's an MP3, Radio, Recorder. The voice recorder does 270 minutes, the quality is pretty Good and you can drag and drop files. I use mine in class but it is a regular classroom not a big hall, seems to pick everything up ok.

"Digimon" must be Japanese for "rip-off." This cartoon series now seen on the Fox Kids' Network has far too many similarities to Pokémon to be classified as anything but a dupe. Our gang of elementary-school adventurers is blasted into a mysterious jungle world where their only tool against an attack of mighty monsters is their personal Digimon--digital monsters (compared to Pokémon's "pocket m...
Hayley Mills was well on her way to adulthood when she found intrigue and chaste romance on the island of Crete in this 1964 Disney attempt at Hitchcock in one of his lighter moods. That means the principals do wind up in a hearse trapped on a narrow street by celebratory but ominous masked paraders. And that seemingly good guys can and do turn out to be bad guys and vice versa. Fluorescent Lighting Fixtures are more energy efficient compared to other fixtures. Fluorescent bulbs, in these fixtures, use gas discharge and electricity to produces light. The secret is the mercury found inside the bulb. The mercury vaporizes, producing ultraviolet light in a phosphorous surrounding.
Some bulbs, particularly the incandescent, rely on heat reaction to give off the illumination. They use more energy and quickly become hot. Fluorescent bulbs are an energy efficient light source that is recommended by most engineers and lighting consultants.
These bulbs are also used in many light fixtures because fluorescent light converts more efficiently into visible light than other bulbs. Fluorescent bulbs have 22%. Luminous efficacy and Incandescent bulbs have 10%.
Admittedly, the cost of fluorescent light bulbs is three times higher than most bulbs; however, its long-term benefits far outweigh the financial issue. One way to check your cost is by looking on your electric bill. Look at your bill before you install fluorescents and then after.
Fluorescent lighting fixtures optimizes energy input so that only less is used for maximum brightness. If you have been using incandescent bulbs for your interior lighting for quite some time, you will notice that your electric bill will be quite high. By switching to fluorescent, you are making a big step to have energy efficient light.
In addition, a fluorescent tube can last up to six times longer, compared to other bulbs, making it ideal for rooms that require longer hours of continuous light. Further, it will not burn out from continuous on and off switching.
If the room gets hot quickly, or is sensitive to heat, then fluorescent lighting fixture is ideal because it produces less heat. Since it produces less pollution from heat emissions, this helps to reduce the pollution of the environment.
Incandescent bulbs produce high amount of heat which merges into the atmosphere, aggravating global warming. Fluorescent therefore should be globally used for the sake of our planet.
The new Designs of fluorescent fixtures, fluorescent Lamps and recessed fluorescent lighting are effective in creating light moods; however, they come with more expensive prices. Today, as technology advances, you have more attractive interior lighting designs. These designs are available as recessed lighting, wall lighting, kitchen lighting, and ceiling lighting.
One of the best choices you can get is dimmable fluorescent fixture. It has the capacity to customize the brightness of the light with its dimmer switch. This is an added advantage on your part because the dimmer the light is, the more energy efficient it is, giving you more savings.
If you are a business owner, you can get more return on your investments by using a fluorescent lighting fixture. This is particularly helpful if your business is a restaurant or a bar that requires several types of lighting systems. Or, even if you have a commercial office, paying less for your electricity is truly rewarding.
The fluorescent tube is the best source of cost-efficient and energy efficient light. Whether you are planning to renovate any part of your house, or buying a new house, switching to fluorescent lighting fixtures can bring benefits to you and to the environment.

What suggestions do you have in creating the Focal/Cardinal point(optics) for a lunar spotlight in which reflected sunlight through a gobo is used to project a, Moniker on the Moon. (TM)
Of course the waxing or waning dark side of the moon at it's closest orbit is the projection surface.
Would a ellipsoidal reflector mirror be beneficial or spherical or another shape?
How about the Fresnel lens? Is it a benefit?
What size Mirror & lens?
With positioning in mind is a Lagrangian point a Good parking spot for orbiting contraption?
I thought of this and scrapped the lazer idea which would not be bright enough and require too much power.....thanks to everyone who answered previous posts.
The moniker would be a "universal" awareness ribbon for all causes.
Your task is far more complicated than that. You will have to employ some form of adaptive optics. Atmospheric variations will cause time varying abborations and distort the image your projecting and make it look like just a big white splotch. To do a rough job of it you will need several very large mirrors with some heavy duty position control, a CCD camera and a processor to determine the amount of feedback to apply to each mirror to keep the image looking good. As far as shapes and lenses go, don't bother with the lens, just shape your mirror according to what your intending to project. Fresnel lenses are definitely out.
That said and done there's the size of the mirrors to deal with. If you obtained a moon sized 100% reflector then you would be able to illuminate the moon no more than what it looks like when it's full. You might be able to concentrate the light to give a brighter smaller image but it's not gonna be any good at raising international awareness.
Might I suggest using the cookie cutter for it's literal use might be a better and less wasteful way of going about raising international awareness.
The Profoto Small Fresnel projects a clean, crisp beam of light, similar to that of natural sunlight. This compact, vented housing features a 15 cm (6'') glass fresnel lens, then adjustable beam-angle control and a tilting light stand mount. Filters can be attached to the front of the fresnel for additional lighting effects. It attaches to any Profoto flash head, without requiring an adapter and i...
I'm not allowed to paint/or take them down and I really hate the way they look and would really like to cover them with some sheers or drapes or both but I have not idea how to do this with out making more holes in the walls or taking them down.
I'f it helps its a sliding glass door and the vertical blinds run in one direction.
Any Ideas ?
Okay, not allowed to take them down...hmm. I had these and they were basically slats clipped to the track at the top. You should be able to gently pull the slat out by tugging straight down-it just slides out. Mine used to fall out sometimes. I'm thinking you could remove the slats and clip in a lightweight drapery sheer, temorarily, and not remove the track or the hardware so that, when you move, you can just slip the slats back in and landlord won't be upset. You might even try just taking out the first one and the last one so that you can slip your fabric in to secure it. Otherwise you will need to put up a curtain rod of some sort to hold your sheers or drapes.

What's the photo called where one person faces forward, & another faces sideways in a profile shot.?
It is not a mug shot. The photography studios use to do these shots a lot, especially with siblings. One child would be looking straight forward, and the other childs head shot would be floating in the upper right hand corner staring up towards the stars.
I'm trying to find a tutorial for that, and it's not the mug shot tutorial.
That is called Shot reverse shot (or shot/countershot) is a film technique where one character is shown looking (often off-screen) at another character, and then the other character is shown looking "back" at the first character. Since the characters are shown facing in opposite directions, the viewer unconsciously assumes that they are looking at each other.
Shot reverse shot is a feature of the "classical" Hollywood style of continuity editing, which deemphasizes transitions between shots such that the audience perceives one continuous action that develops linearly, chronologically, and logically

phew........anyway they are all in nice condition.......if you know any of the values or where i might find it then please let me know....ebay seems quite useless as a guide...already tried
Condition is everything
The star in your list is the Rolleiflex SL35E a Good working one with no dink or dents will realise about the £100.00 mark with 50mm f1.8 lens actually made by Zeiss, but marked Rollei. I would advise listing the other lenses separately, as some of the rarer lenses have a value which can exceed the camera price. These lenses were often made (and marked) as Makinon.
The Kodak cameras have a following, particularly the folding (what Kodak called the 'pocket') A120 refers to the film size it should be marked Kodak No 1, series 11 or similar. Pinholes in the bellows are the kiss of death for these though some people buy them as a 'decorative' conversation piece. A mint in box would fetch about £40.00 to £50.00 as these are Rare, but the price drops off dramatically for a run of the mill example (millions were made) to less than £5.00 or so.
The Olympus U1 has a good value as there is an increasing diving market for it, these are still used today and spares are still available. Guesstimate about £100.00 to £150.00 if working and the seals are good.
The OM40 is not the most sought after Olympus, prices are disappointing at around £10.00 or so. List the lens, throw the body in for free, you'll probably realise more as some lenses can be used on the Digital Slr's.
Cine Equipment, unless of really good quality, has little or no value these days. There are collectors, but it has to be exceptional to interest them.
Funnily enough Meopta has a website here;
http://www.meopta.cz/index.php?id=144&set_lang=en
Which lists them.
The Instamatics, except for some rare examples, is very definitely an 'orphan' format with little following - and no value.
The rest fall under the bracket of the postage is more than the value.
Condition really is everything, collectors want only perfect examples, except where a camera or lens is rare when they are happy just to have any example in their collection. You really have to be hyper critical - they will be.

This 1952 Encyclopedia Britannica film gives an interesting overview of the kind of tests scientists of plant cell biology conducted at that time regarding radiation's effect on plant and animal biology. Every year I try to record the Christmas light displays in my neighborhood with my Digital Video camera, but every year my recordings don't come out very well. They either come out blurry or shaky or with too much contrast (in other words, you can see the lights but nothing else). Any tips? Thanks guys, you rock!
Well it sounds like youve been recording in auto. Give manual a try (if you have the functions) and adjust shutter Speed at its lowest to 1/15 (most cams go down to 1/60 in manual), and then tweak your aperture and gain to get a Good picture. Unfortunately, "high contrast" as you called it, is pretty much inevitable, unless you have a pro cam with 1/3 inch CCDs, so depending on how much detail you want to see where, you can expose for the lights, or for the surrounding areas, but you wont get a perfect exposure for both, only one at a time. Also, be aware that high levels of gain will increase noise. Hope this helps!

is there always a delay on Digital Cameras btwn time shutter is pushed & photo taken?
Seems digital cameras have a delayed reaction taking a photo from time I push shutter til a second later when photo is actually taken. My camera is on fine setting & has 10 megapixels. (Canon sureshot). How is flash involved with this? Camera is less than a year old.
By way of explaining what's really going on. All automatic cameras, which digital cameras are, have what's called shutter lag.
This lag time allows the camera to focus and expose. This procedure, though very fast, isn't instant, can't and won't happen. Without this time all your photos would be out of focus (fuzzy) and either Over or under exposed.
Get the drift? perhaps some reading on how automatic cameras work would be in order.

Do you have any nail polish remover? Or bleach? you could try bleach water. But be careful not to use it full strength it will burn your skin. Make a solution in the kitchen sink with about an eighth of a cup of bleach and a full sink of cold water. Only put your hands in for a second, take them out rub them together and put them back again. Continue for a few times if it seems to work. If you don't see some change in right away then it isn't going to work. After you do this, rub some vaseline or petroleum jelly on your hands to keep them from getting too dry. Good luck

Featuring interviews with Close, Chuck Close: A Portrait in Progress traces the artist's evolution. ...

I have a bunch of stage lights, 6 to be exact, and I need to find containers for them. I originally was just using the Original cardboard boxes they came in, but they are ripped apart and are unusable. I just need a box that can fit them all individually, or together, it doesn't matter as long as they aren't damaged and the box is easy to carry.
Basically, are there boxes specifically made for stage lights, if not what are some alternatives to move them around safely.
You need ATA road cases for them. Depending on what Type they are, you could get pre-made ones for the specific fixtures of get them custom made. Look on Google for custom road cases and you'll find many of places that'll make them for you. Or for used ones look at gearsource.com or www.solarisnetwork.com
