How do I upload photos from a Canon Powershot without software?
Hi - I'm borrowing a Canon PowerShot camera with a PC and use the library (Dell). I have the USB cable plugged into both ends. I pop-up window informing me that new hardware has been installed and the Device Manager displays the camera working properly, but I can not find any way to access photos and the camera does not appear in My Computer. Any suggestions?
The problem may be that all Canon products need "special" software to upload images from their cameras. That and as mentioned earlier, most computers library are blocked to prevent the importation of any. Many users of Canon has chosen to use Memory Card reader and carry them with them in their camera cases. A Good card reader, USB 2.0 can cost as little as $ 7. Get one and you will not have this problem again using Canon cameras on any computer, but perhaps one of the library. Check with the librarian and see if he / she can help
